Creating the Film Review

I have now finished writing, designing and creating my film review for my short film. It was a long process but I am really happy with the final result. In order to make it look conventional and as though it could appear in Little White Lies magazine, I needed to spend a lot of time getting particular aspects as similar as possible. Firstly, I needed to find a font that was the same/similar of that used in LWL. Through looking through some of the magazines I found that they tended to use two fonts. One for the main body of text and another for the title. For the main text I have used Times New Roman. I am not sure that this is the actual font used in Little White Lies but it is pretty close. For the title, first letter and rating I found a font on dafont.com! I was really pleased with this as I feel the font is very similar, if not the same. Although the process of looking through fonts took me a while, I have found it worth the time.

Once I had found my fonts and put all the writing in, I needed to make the layout just right. I wanted everything to be in exactly in the same position as the Little White Lies reviews in order to make it look as conventional as possible. This took me quite a while as I needed to get everything in line, equal distance apart and central to the image.

I took everything from the new layout of Little White Lies reviews. Here is a comparison. I have tried to make everything as similar as possible from the word "reviews" down the left hand side to the film details at the top. My image is a little bigger but I found that many Little White Lies reviews had images that also varied in size.
