Scene 1: the picnic
Scene 2: watching TV
Scene 3: the kitchen
Scene 4: the alternative ending
A lot of my shots are point-of-view shots of the female character. This is so the memories can be shown as to be mostly in the eyes of the boy, as it is in fact him sketching and reminiscing the memories. I am hoping these will end up successful when it comes to filming, as I really want my audience to imagine being in the boys position so that they can empathise with him.
Whilst thinking more about my film and shots and locations, I made a note that I may need to move some items that live in the locations I will potentially use, in order for the "timeless effect" to work. For example, I picked up on the fact that the office I may use for the boy to sketch in has an Apple Mac computer in the background.
Where from here?
The next step is for me to begin scripting. Although I do not have any dialogue during my short film, scripting is still important for stage directions, recording shot types and what is generally happening in the film. This is so a record can be kept and so that the director and the actors know what they are doing and when.
