The Target Audience

After deciding my genre as a romance, stereotypically, my film would appeal to females. In terms of age, subjectively I would assume my film would appeal to those aged similar to the characters, who depending in availability, will be young-old teens. A direct age of my target audience will be established one I have completed audience research.

Audience Profile: Here is a typical member of my target audience...

This is sixteen year old Lucy. She has just started her A Levels at a Sixth Form studying Music, Psychology, Sociology and English Literature. On a typical weekend she enjoys going shopping and to the cinema with her friends - all of which are bonded together by their love for independent film. When she's on her own she enjoys playing her piano and reading a variety of old and new literature, both for her English class and for her own enjoyment, of which she prefers old romantic books. She loves a variety of musics styles including alternative-rock and classical, which helps her when revising. Lucy works part-time on Saturdays in a local supermarket, which she doesn't really enjoy, although often spends her Saturday nights at the noodle bar and cinema in order to cheer her up! She lives with her mum and dad, with an older brother at university.
