My Film Review
Here's my finished film review. After speaking with others, I decided to change the photo back to its original form (without the colour editing). This is due to the fact it didn't show up very well, and the contrast showed Ed's arms in particular to be very white. I also decided to get rid of the curved edges. The newer style of Little White Lies magazine doesn't have the curved corners, and I feel that as I have converted the image back to its original form, the colouring also suited the newer version.
Creating the Film Review
I have now finished writing, designing and creating my film review for my short film. It was a long process but I am really happy with the final result. In order to make it look conventional and as though it could appear in Little White Lies magazine, I needed to spend a lot of time getting particular aspects as similar as possible. Firstly, I needed to find a font that was the same/similar of that used in LWL. Through looking through some of the magazines I found that they tended to use two fonts. One for the main body of text and another for the title. For the main text I have used Times New Roman. I am not sure that this is the actual font used in Little White Lies but it is pretty close. For the title, first letter and rating I found a font on dafont.com! I was really pleased with this as I feel the font is very similar, if not the same. Although the process of looking through fonts took me a while, I have found it worth the time.
Once I had found my fonts and put all the writing in, I needed to make the layout just right. I wanted everything to be in exactly in the same position as the Little White Lies reviews in order to make it look as conventional as possible. This took me quite a while as I needed to get everything in line, equal distance apart and central to the image.

I took everything from the new layout of Little White Lies reviews. Here is a comparison. I have tried to make everything as similar as possible from the word "reviews" down the left hand side to the film details at the top. My image is a little bigger but I found that many Little White Lies reviews had images that also varied in size.
